Discover the magic of painting on slick Yupo paper, where water and color dance across the surface in beautiful, unexpected ways! This playful, relaxed class is all about loosening up, experimenting, and having fun with the creative process. We’ll explore a variety of techniques and tools like stamping, watercolor pencils, lifting, and more to create unique textures and surprising effects. No rigid structure here, just a free-flowing, inspiring space to play, explore, and let creativity take over! Objectives / Learning Outcomes: Learn fun ways to apply paint on Yupo paper like spraying with water or alcohol, and stamping. Make your own stamps and use found objects to add meaning to your art. Target Audience / Skill Level: ☐ All Levels Materials Provided by Instructor: Yupo paper Watercolor paints Palette Watercolor pencils Brushes Foam sheets Materials Students Need to Bring: Any found object that makes a mark. (i.e. a cork, a twig) Piece of Styrofoam (i.e. the tray from the grocery store) to make your own stamp About Your Instructor Magali Lenarczak is a Redmond-based artist originally from France. She creates colorful, expressive work on Yupo paper, embracing spontaneity and vibrant movement. Her award-winning paintings are in collections across the U.S. and Europe.
